It all started with Scott getting more free time from his day job co-owning Baked With Love, an awesome cafe in Taupō, and thinking of a hobby to get into. Then Covid-19 came along and an enforced 4 week lockdown took hold in New Zealand. It was the April 2020. So now Scott had even more free time on his hands. While watching a random YouTube video a distilling video caught his attention and he was hooked.
Much Googling and YouTubing was done and Scott figured out that distilling was as much an art as it is a science. Both are required to produce a great spirit.
Scott decided to do some home distilling. In New Zealand it is completely legal to distill at home. No license or registation is even required. But more research was required. So off he went.
