Our Approach
Impact is about more than the environment. It's about how we operate day to day, the choices we make, and the footprint we leave on the place we call home.
Sustainability isn't a box we tick. It's a compass that guides our decisions and runs through everything we make.
We don't claim to be perfect. Our journey is long, with plenty to learn along the way. But we're committed to making the best choices we can as we grow.
Our approach focuses on what we can control: how we use water, how we manage waste, and how we work day to day. The rest of this page explains how.

Minimise Water Usage
Distilling is a thirsty business. We can't change that entirely, but we're constantly trialling ways to reuse and conserve water through our heating and cooling processes. It's a balancing act between water and energy use, but one we're committed to getting right.

Minimise Waste
Recycling is usually where people start when they think about waste. For us, it's almost the last step. We see waste as missed opportunity, so we work through the 5Rs every day: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle.
Refuse: We choose what comes into the distillery carefully, avoiding anything that can't be reused, repurposed, or recycled.
Reduce: We pick products with less packaging and refine our processes to be as efficient as possible.
Reuse: We give items a second, third, or fourth life within the distillery.
Repurpose: We give waste a new purpose. Our old Lactanol drums are now planters.
Recycle: When nothing else works, we recycle properly. Glass, cardboard, the lot, so as little as possible ends up in landfill.
We'll make mistakes. That's how we learn. The goal is to leave the place better than we found it.
